Features & Benefits
  • Very fast build-up of strength, achieves hand-tight bond in 20 min, full strength in up to 3h.

  • Very high final bond strength and excellent mechanical properties.

  • Good extrudability and workable even in typical caulking guns.

  • Strong adhesion to most common substrates — concrete, masonry, timber, metals, plastics/PVC, treated wood, etc. Works even on slightly damp surfaces.

  • Permanently elastic after curing, accommodates slight movements and vibrations.

  • Paintable with water-based paints once cured (compatibility test recommended).

  • Good colour stability, plus weather and UV resistance, suitable for both interior and exterior use.

Applications

Use T‑Rex Turbo for:

  • Adhesive bonding of panels, profiles, metal or wood parts in construction or metal industry. This makes Turbo a perfect fit for heavy‑duty bonding tasks, part of the broader T-Rex SMX® hybrid polymer family. Check out the full product range at T-Rex SMX® range.

  • Elastic bonding and sealing of building components, interior or exterior — e.g. façade cladding, metal joinery, structural elements. For tricky substrates or surfaces needing adhesion help, consider using a primer or activator from our Primers & Activators page before applying Turbo.

  • Jobs that demand a quick turnaround: thin‑layer bonding on porous substrates, repairs, and installations where fast set‑up is needed. Because Turbo “fixes in 20 minutes, final strength in 3 hours,” it’s ideal when you don’t have time to waste.

Instructions
  • Ensure surfaces are clean, free of dust, grease, and either dry or only slightly moist.

  • Apply with a standard caulking gun: beads or dots for adhesive use; press materials firmly together. For sealing use, apply continuously and tool with soapy water or finishing solution before skin formation.

  • Hand-tight in ~20 minutes; final strength in about 3 hours (thin adhesive layer on porous substrates) under normal conditions.

  • Recommended application temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C.

  • Clean uncured residue with appropriate cleaner; once cured removal is mechanical only.

Why Choose T-Rex Turbo?

T-Rex Turbo is engineered for builders and tradies who need speed, strength and reliability. If you’re working on fast-turnaround installs, structural bonding, exterior cladding, metal joinery or general construction where downtime isn’t an option, this is your go-to solution.

  • Fast-setting, yet flexible: Bonds quickly (hand-tight ~20 min, full strength ~3 h), while remaining permanently elastic after curing.

  • High final strength: Provides tough, durable bonds ideal for load-bearing or structural adhesive work.

  • Broad substrate compatibility: Works on concrete, masonry, wood, metal, plastics/PVC, even slightly damp surfaces.

  • Interior & exterior ready: Weather- and UV-resistant, making it suitable for indoor construction or outdoor façades.

  • Paintable finish: Once cured, you can paint with water-based coatings for a seamless look.

For jobs where a quick set and strong, lasting hold is essential, T-Rex Turbo gets the job done.

T-Rex Turbo FAQs

Can T-Rex Turbo be used outdoors?

Yes. T-Rex Turbo is weather- and UV-resistant and is suitable for exterior applications such as façade cladding, metal joinery, gutters and outdoor fixtures.

How quickly does T-Rex Turbo cure?

T-Rex Turbo reaches hand-tight bond strength in around 20 minutes, with full strength achieved after approximately 3 hours (on porous substrates with a thin adhesive layer).

What materials can I bond with T-Rex Turbo?

It bonds well to a wide range of common building materials – concrete, masonry, treated timber, metals, PVC, plastics, and more. It also adheres on slightly damp surfaces.

Is T-Rex Turbo suitable for flexible/sealing joints or only for bonding?

T-Rex Turbo is primarily designed for elastic bonding and sealing in construction and metalwork. Its permanent elasticity and strong adhesion make it suitable for joints that require flexibility, but for high-movement joints or extensive expansion joints, a more flexible variant (like T-Rex Flex) might be more appropriate.
