Chemical Anchoring Products

Chemical anchor from Soudal is an injectable resin system used to fix threaded studs, rebar, and fixings into concrete, brick, and masonry, curing to hold structural and non-structural loads. The range covers polyester and vinylester injection resins in cartridge formats, with matched mixing nozzles and, where required, sieve sleeves for hollow or perforated masonry.

Fixings that hold because the resin does the work, not the friction.

Chemical anchors bond a fixing into a drilled hole by chemical adhesion rather than expansion force, which allows fixings closer to concrete edges and in cracked concrete without the splitting risk of mechanical anchors. Resin type is matched to the load, the base material, and the conditions: polyester for general fixing, vinylester for higher loads and faster cure, and epoxy for the highest loads and long-term structural performance. See our anchoring application pages for job-specific guidance.

Chemical anchoring FAQs

What is a chemical anchor used for?

A chemical anchor fixes threaded studs, rebar, and fixings into concrete, brick, and masonry using an injectable resin that bonds the fixing by chemical adhesion, holding structural and non-structural loads.

What's the difference between polyester, vinylester, and epoxy resin?

Polyester suits general fixing at moderate loads. Vinylester offers higher load capacity and faster cure. Epoxy provides the highest load capacity and long-term structural performance, and is used for rebar and heavily loaded fixings.

Can chemical anchors be used near a concrete edge?

Yes. Because chemical anchoring bonds by adhesion rather than expansion force, it allows fixings closer to edges and in cracked concrete without the splitting risk of expansion anchors, within the tested edge distances on the datasheet.

How long does chemical anchor resin take to cure?

Cure time depends on the resin type and the ambient temperature, and is stated on the product’s technical datasheet. Colder conditions extend cure time.
