T-REX X-TREME XPRESS – Heavy Duty Adhesive Sealant

T-Rex X-treme X-press is a high quality, neutral, elastic, adhesive sealant has been developed for extreme tack for immediate bonding of extremely heavy materials without additional support. It is based on the unique SMX Polymer technology developed by Soudal with an extremely high initial tack of 400 kg/m².

Features & Benefits
  • Extreme initial tack ( 400 kg/m²) — supports heavy materials immediately, without need for mechanical support.

  • Fast curing + high final bond strength — bonds set quickly; finished bonds remain elastic and durable.

  • Works on nearly all building substrates — concrete, masonry, metals, treated timber, plastics/PVC, composites; even slightly damp surfaces are often ok.

  • Elastic after cure & weather‑resistant — maintains flexibility under stress, resists UV and exposure, making it suitable for external use.

  • Good workability — extrudes easily (triangular nozzle included), no odour, solvent‑ and isocyanate‑free.

Applications
  • Adhesive bonding of heavy panels, profiles, metal or timber parts, ideal in construction or metal‑working applications. Link to more adhesives via the T-Rex SMX® range.

  • Structural or elastic bonding of building components (interior or exterior), such as architectural panels, profiled façades, metal joinery, and structural elements. When bonding difficult substrates, consider pairing with our Primers & Activators for optimal adhesion.

  • Fast‑turnaround jobs: bonding on porous or mixed substrates; installations, repairs or builds where instant grab and rapid load-bearing are required. For situations needing a clean, visible finish rather than heavy-duty grip, check out T-Rex Crystal.

BONDING

Soudal T-Rex has an excellent adhesion on almost all substrates. Soudal T-Rex has been tested on the following metal surfaces: steel, AlMgSi1, brass, electrolytic galvanised steel, AlCuMg1, flame galvanised steel, AlMg3 and steel ST1403. Plastics that were tested include: polystyrene, polycarbonate (Makrolon®), PVC, polyamide, glass fibre reinforced epoxy and polyester (GRP).

Due to the fact that specific substrates such as plastics, like polycarbonate, etc, may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, we recommend preliminary compatibility test

Instructions
  • Ensure surfaces are clean, dust‑ and grease‑free. Slight moisture is acceptable.

  • Apply with a standard caulking gun, beads or dabs depending on substrate; press materials firmly together (rubber hammer or firm pressure advised).

  • For heavy elements, support lightly if needed, though immediate tack often suffices.

  • Curing: after adhesion, allow 24‑48 hours for full load‑bearing strength.

Why Choose T‑Rex Power Max Grab?

T-Rex Power Max Grab is perfect when you need a serious hold, fast. Not some decorative filler or aesthetic sealant, but a workhorse adhesive that handles structural loads, mixed materials, and heavy-duty builds.
Its outrageous initial tack and broad substrate compatibility mean you don’t need screws, clamps or extra support most of the time, which saves time and cuts labour costs.

For outdoor builds, mixed‑material facades, structural metal joinery, or any project where strength matters first, this is the sealant you trust.

If you want a lighter‑duty, paintable or aesthetic finish, check out other options in the T‑Rex range; but when load + speed + reliability matter, Power Max Grab is the one.

T‑Rex Power Max Grab FAQs

Can T-Rex Power Max Grab be used outdoors?

Yes, it’s weather‑, UV‑ and moisture‑resistant. It bonds well on metal, concrete, treated timber, PVC and composites, and retains strength outdoors.

Does it support heavy loads instantly?

Yes, with an initial grab strength of 400 kg/m², it supports heavy panels and materials immediately, often eliminating the need for mechanical support.

What substrates can I use it on?

Almost any common building material: concrete, masonry, metal, treated timber, PVC/plastics, composites, and more, even slightly damp surfaces. For challenging plastics or composites, we recommend a preliminary adhesion test or using a primer/activator.

Can I paint over it or use it where aesthetics matter?

While technically possible, T-Rex Power Max Grab is designed for strength, not a decorative finish. For visible joints or aesthetic work, consider finishing products or alternate adhesives/sealants more suited to visible surfaces (e.g. T-Rex Crystal).
