Multibond SMX25 – Flex & Seal (Low Modulus)
Multibond SMX25 is a high quality, low modulus, single component, permanently highly flexible, joint sealant with higher viscosity. Perfect for internal & external applications. Based on SMX® Polymer SMX25 has a “Shore A” hardness of 25 and can accommodate movement of ± 25%. SMX25 has excellent UV resistance, elasticity and can be sanded and painted with most types of paint. Once cured forms a strong, flexible, waterproof seal and bonds to the widest range of substrates. SMX25 can be used for damp and wet surfaces.

How does SMX25 differ from SMX35 and SMX50?
SMX25 is the most flexible and has the thickest consistency. While Multibond SMX35 is an all-rounder and Multibond SMX50 is for high-strength bonding, SMX25 is purely for high-movement joint sealing.
Can I paint over SMX25?
Yes. Once cured, it is fully paintable with most water-based paints. Because it contains no solvents or isocyanates, there is no odour, making it safe for indoor use.
Is it resistant to chemicals?
SMX25 is highly resistant against most common chemicals and weather conditions. This ensures the seal remains intact even in harsh industrial or coastal environments.
