Soudal Pro Expanding Foam Genius

Soudal Pro Expanding Foam Genius is a self-expanding foam with a built-in genius applicator that eliminates the need for a gun. Reusable up to 6 weeks after initial use, water resistant, will not shrink or expand once cured and fast curing.

It is ideal for filling gaps and cavities, joints, pipe penetrations, and installing windows and door frames. Can also be used as an air seal, improving thermal and acoustic insulation. Can be cut, sanded, plastered, or covered with sealant once cured.

Applications 

Gap‑filling expanding foam has a variety of applications across residential, commercial, and light industrial builds in Australia. Key use cases include:

  • Pipe & Conduit Penetrations – Seal around plumbing and electrical penetrations to improve insulation and reduce sound transfer.

Instructions

  • Surface Preparation – Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or grease.
  • Shake the Can Well – Helps ensure proper mixing for consistent expansion.
  • Apply with Applicator Gun – Use the trigger nozzle to apply the foam, filling the gap approximately 30‑50% full.
  • Cure Time – Foam will form a skin in minutes, with full curing typically taking 24 hrs.
  • Finish – Once fully cured, the foam can be trimmed, sanded, or plastered over to achieve a clean, finished look. For external use, apply a protective coating to prevent UV degradation.
