Soudal Pro Expanding Foam Aerosol

Soudal Pro Expanding Foam Aerosol is a one-component, ready-to-use polyurethane gap-filling foam applied through a straw nozzle, with CFC-free propellants that are harmless to the ozone layer. The straw makes it easy to direct foam into tight or awkward gaps without a gun, which suits quick, one-off filling and sealing jobs.

It is built for installing window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing openings in roof constructions and creating a soundproof layer, and it also helps improve thermal insulation in cooling systems and air conditioner installations. With triple expansion and excellent stability, it fills generously then holds its shape with no shrink or post-expansion. See the full expanding foam range for Genius and gun-grade formats.

Features & Benefits

  • Excellent adhesion on most substrates (except Teflon, PE and PP)
  • High thermal and acoustical insulation
  • Very good filling capacities
  • Excellent mounting capacities
  • Excellent stability (no shrink or post expansion)

Why Choose Soudal Pro Expanding Foam Aerosol?

Ready to go, straight from the can. The straw nozzle means no gun to fit, so you can grab it for a quick fill and put it down again.

Reaches tight spots. The straw directs foam into narrow gaps and awkward angles that are hard to reach by other means.

Fills generously, then stays put. Triple expansion gives good fill, and excellent stability means no shrink or post-expansion once cured.

Insulates against heat and noise. High thermal and acoustic insulation helps seal out draughts and dampen sound.

Applications

Instructions

  • Shake the can well for at least 30 seconds. Open the cover and unfold the tube into a horizontal position. Hold the can upside down and extrude the foam. Gaps are to be filled partly (approx. 1/3). Repeat shaking regularly during application. If you have to work in layers repeat moistening after each layer. Slightly humidifying of the surfaces gives faster curing and a better cell structure. For storage: detach the bung, seal the nozzle, close the cap and store can upright.

FAQs

What is the straw version of expanding foam best for?

The straw applicator suits quick, one-off filling and sealing jobs and getting foam into tight or awkward gaps. It is ready to use straight from the can with no foam gun required.

How much should I fill a gap with expanding foam?

Fill a gap roughly one third full, as the foam expands significantly as it cures. Overfilling can distort frames and waste product, so leave room for expansion.

Does the foam need moisture to cure?

Yes, lightly humidifying the surfaces gives faster curing and a better cell structure. If you work in layers, moisten again between each layer.

What surfaces does it bond to?

It adheres to most building substrates, with the exceptions of Teflon, PE and PP. Surfaces should be clean before application for the best result.

Where can I buy Soudal Pro Expanding Foam Aerosol in Australia?

It is available from Soudal stockists across Australia in 500mL and 750mL cans. You can find where to buy at a Soudal stockist near you.
