Soudal Flexifoam Genius
Soudal Flexifoam Genius is a flexible polyurethane expanding foam with a patented built-in trigger, so it applies one-handed with no separate gun. Because it cures fully flexible, it absorbs movement in the substrate without cracking, which makes it the right choice for joints that flex rather than stay still. Its distinctive blue colour sets it apart from standard PU foams.
Flexifoam Genius bonds to practically all building materials, including brick, concrete, PVC, timber, insulation materials, pipes, cables, ducts, metals and many plastics (except PP, PE, PTFE and silicones). It expands to around 30 times the size of the can, is moisture curing and water resistant, insulates against heat and sound, and stays light once cured. It is reusable for up to 6 weeks after first use and can be cut, sanded, plastered or sealed once cured. See the full expanding foam range for gun-grade and rigid options.

Why Choose Soudal Flexifoam Genius?
Made for joints that move. It cures fully flexible and absorbs substrate movement without cracking, so seals around moving elements stay intact.
No gun needed. The patented Genius trigger applies the foam one-handed with precise dosing and nothing extra to buy.
Insulates heat and sound. It is an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator and helps eliminate thermal bridges and draughts.
Easy to spot, easy to reuse. The blue colour distinguishes it from rigid PU foams, and the can stays usable for up to 6 weeks.
Applications
- Insulating and filling expansion joints and joints between wall panels.
- Filling openings between window frames and surrounding construction.

FAQs
What makes Flexifoam Genius different from standard expanding foam?
It cures fully flexible rather than rigid, so it absorbs movement in the joint without cracking. That makes it suited to expansion joints and any seal where the surfaces shift, where rigid foam would eventually break down.
Why is the foam blue?
The blue colour distinguishes Flexifoam from standard rigid PU foams on site, so it is easy to tell which foam has been used. It is a flexible insulation foam rather than a general rigid filler.
Do I need a gun to apply it?
No, the patented Genius trigger is built in, so it applies one-handed with precise dosing and no separate gun. The can is also reusable for up to 6 weeks after first use.
What does Flexifoam Genius bond to?
It bonds to practically all building materials, including brick, concrete, PVC, timber, insulation, pipes, cables, ducts and metals. The main exceptions are PP, PE, PTFE and silicones.
